Capture One 16.5.4 brings several handy improvements:
AppleScript ‘Auto Select New Capture’ Options
The developers added the ability to script the “Auto Select New Capture” menu, so there are now two new document properties:
- Auto select new capture (disabled/immediately/when ready)
- Auto select new capture pause (boolean)
A Major Bugfix for Smart Adjustments
In the previous update, 16.5.3, the quality of Smart Adjustments was noticeably degraded, and it also affected all styles that use Smart Adjustments, such as my NextGen styles.
Fortunately, the Capture One developers quickly fixed this bug and in 16.5.4 everything works as it should.
Camera Support
- Leica SL3-S: file support, wired tethering, Live View.
- Sony a1 II: file support, wired and wireless tethering, Live View.
Two New ‘Clear Compare’ Shortcuts (Capture One Studio only)
Capture One developers decided to split the Clear Compare keyboard shortcut into two separate shortcuts:
- Clear Selected Compare Variants: This will clear only the variants you’ve selected, no matter if the ‘Edit All’ setting is on or off.
- Clear All Compare Variants: It’ll clear all the compare variants, ignoring any selection so it’ll act like the shortcut did before.
Sorting in Live for Studio (Capture One Studio only)
You can now sort the images in the grid by date, both descending and ascending.
