On January 18, Capture One has removed branded versions of Capture One from their webshop. Capture One Pro is now the only version available for purchase.
How does this affect Capture One Fujifilm, Sony, and Nikon users?
Capture One has published a detailed FAQ on this; here are the main highlights:
- All versions of Capture One, including Express versions, will continue to work as usual.
- Capture One 22 for Sony / Nikon / Fujifilm users with a perpetual license will receive a free upgrade to Capture One Pro in early April 2022.
- If you have a Capture One for Sony / Nikon / Fujifilm subscription plan, you’ll also get a free upgrade to Capture One Pro in early April 2022. You’ll continue to pay the same price you do now for as long as you remain a subscriber.
- Suppose you have Capture One for Sony / Nikon / Fujifilm version 21 or older. In that case, you will be able to upgrade to the latest version of Capture One Pro at the same price you would have originally paid to upgrade to Capture One 22 for Sony / Nikon / Fujifilm. The offer is valid till April 18, 2022.
