Ok, now for the new features!
Match Look
Match Look lets you replicate the color grading from any image of your choice, including JPGs, with a single click. Simply set an image as a reference, select the target RAW and click Apply:
Capture One will automatically adjust the tone and color of the image to match the reference shot:
Match Look applies regular Capture One adjustments, such as White Balance, Contrast, Color Editor, so you can easily tweak them if needed.
Also, you can adjust the impact of Match Look and apply the new look to a new layer!
Match Look works with landscapes:
And B&W images:
The Match Look tool supports batch editing, so you can easily apply a color grading to all your images at once, and each image will be adjusted individually:
Moreover, you can set a group of images as a reference to achieve a balanced look based on various shots:
Finally, you can save your Match Look settings as presets so that you can quickly and easily apply them in the future.
I hate to use phrases like “game changer” or “killer feature,” but this is truly it. Match Look is a real breakthrough, and it will change RAW editing forever.
People Masking
The second major new feature is People Masking, which allows you to create precise AI masks for facial skin, body skin, eyebrows, eyes, and lips:
Just like the Subject and Background masks, you can save People masks in styles, and they will create unique masks for every image and apply saved adjustments:
In addition, Capture One 16.5 will allow you to cloud sync your styles, workspaces, export recipes, and shortcuts across multiple computers, including syncing styles with iOS apps.
Plus, you can now replace background on your images, using the built-in integration with the Photoroom service.
Finally, iPhone RAWs have got ProStandard profiles, just as most of pro cameras!
You can see all of these new features in action in the Capture One live stream.
