Capture One has just released the 16.5.6 update, which brings several handy features:
- You can now edit grayscale images directly in Capture One, giving you more flexibility in your B&W photography workflow.
- Capture One 16.5.6 allows syncing crop and rotation settings from other software using XMP. If you reset the crop or rotation in Capture One, it will revert to the values from an XMP file.
- iPhone DNGs can now be packaged as EIP files that include the DNG and all Capture One image adjustments.
- In 16.5.6, you can choose whether to associate the IPTC Urgency metadata field with color tags using a new preference setting. Previously, this was always enabled, but you can now turn it off if you wish.
- If you use AppleScript in Capture One, you can access new variant properties, use rotation commands to rotate images left or right in 90° increments, and create, delete, and manage custom crop aspect ratios.
