Hi, folks!
This is Alexander Svet and I’m going to give you a promise.
I have been thinking about this for years.
I have always wanted to automate my Capture One workflow. The problem is that I need to master AppleScript for this. And that’s a real programming language! Ok-ok, not a “programming”, but “scripting” language!
Still, as with any other languages, you have to spend a lot of time learning and practicing it. Plus, it requires some particular mindset. A bit different from the one I have.
Ok, now, I’m ready for it! Here is my commitment:
I promise to learn AppleScript before Capture One 13 will be released!
“When Capture One 13 will be released?”
Who knows! But I hope I have some time before this would happen!
“What will happen if you break a promise?”
Something really terrible! Like I’ll dedicate the whole issue of my newsletter to discussing Lightroom!
“Whoa! No way, how can I help you not to break the commitment??”
If you’re also interested in automating your editing in Capture One, here are two ways how you can support me:
1. If you know AppleScript – share your favorite learning courses or some must-read books about it. If you would have time to answer some of my questions regarding scripting in Capture One, I would greatly appreciate this.
2. If you’re not familiar with scripting – send me at [email protected] some ideas on tasks in Capture One which you would like to automate. I will use them as inspiration for my scripting exercises. Plus, I’ll send you a script which will solve your task (if I ever manage to write it).
So. Here we are. Wish me some luck. I’ll keep you updated on my progress!
